Welcome to a small farm on the edge of the Peak District, where every Living Rug® begins with one of my much-loved sheep.
Since 2014, I have been handcrafting felted fleece rugs using the traditional art of wet felting. Each rug is created from the annual fleece of my own sheep and carefully transformed by hand using nothing more than wool, warm water, natural soap and time. No two Living Rugs® are ever the same. Every fleece has its own texture, colour and character, making each rug as individual as the sheep who grew it.
My sheep have a home for life, and their welfare has always been at the heart of everything I do. Many are now enjoying their retirement years, making every Living Rug® even more precious, as only a small number are created each year. When you choose a Living Rug®, you're not simply bringing a beautiful rug into your home. You're choosing traditional British craftsmanship, created with care, respect for animals and a deep appreciation for one of nature's most remarkable fibres.
